Food Photographer in Las Vegas

The Neon Mob is a Las Vegas food photographer and content studio for restaurants, bars, lounges and resort dining. Food and cocktail photography is the largest part of our work: monthly programs for Casa Playa and Delilah at Wynn Las Vegas, the Veranda relaunch at Four Seasons, a nationwide menu library for Shaq's Big Chicken. A food stylist who is also a chef, videographers and a social team sit under one roof, so a shoot can be a single menu or the whole launch. Based in Las Vegas, shooting wherever the kitchen is.

What restaurants come to us for

A new restaurant opening

Before the doors open you need a library that sells a room nobody has sat in yet: hero dishes, the bar, interiors, the chef, a teaser film and a feed that is already alive on opening night. We shot Zero Bond at Wynn Las Vegas from launch teasers through opening and still produce its monthly content. An opening combines photography, video and social planning in one production, so the website, the press kit and the first month of posts come out of the same days.

A new menu

A seasonal change, a new chef or a full concept refresh needs every dish photographed consistently, styled with the kitchen and cropped for the places it will run: the printed menu, the website, delivery apps, digital screens and social. Veranda at Four Seasons Las Vegas launched its California brasserie menu with styled stills and stop-motion video from one shoot. Big Chicken's menu catalog went out to every location in the country. A menu shoot is photography first, with short video where a dish moves well.

A social revamp

A feed that has gone quiet, inconsistent or off-brand gets fixed with a monthly content program: a shoot day each month, a growing library of food, cocktail and lifestyle images and short video, and if you want it, the planning and posting too. Delilah and Casa Playa at Wynn Las Vegas run this way with us, each with a steady pipeline of premium content across their channels. Social content is where photography, video and social media management overlap most, which is why we scope it as one program rather than three vendors.

What we shoot for restaurants and bars

Cocktails and the bar

Signature drinks, the back bar and the room in its best light. Our monthly food and cocktail photography for Delilah covers new cocktails, seasonal menus and the guest favorites that never leave.

Interiors and atmosphere

Dining rooms, patios, private rooms and the details that set a place apart, shot around service so nothing is interrupted. Casa Playa's atmosphere and culinary program are photographed this way every month.

Chef and team portraits

Executive chefs, bartenders and front of house, in the kitchen or at the pass, lit to match the food so the people and the plates sit together on a page or a feed.

Lifestyle and guests

Real people at the table: date nights, birthdays, corporate dinners. The Bedford by Martha Stewart's four lifestyle vignettes and photography were cast, styled and directed by our team.

Cookbooks and food products

Recipe and packaging photography for chefs and food brands. Renée Paquette's Messy in the Kitchen cookbook debuted on a national bestseller list with our cover and recipe photography.

How a food shoot works

  1. Menu walk-throughWe start with the dishes, the places the images will run and the dates. That sets the shot count, the crops and whether video belongs on the day.
  2. Styling plan with the chefOur food stylist, who is also a chef, plans each plate with your kitchen: what gets built for the camera, what gets plated as served, what needs to hold under the lights.
  3. Shoot day around serviceWe set up before service or in a closed section and work from a shot list, so the kitchen cooks in a sensible order. Frames are reviewed on set as we go.
  4. Retouching and cropsSelects, color grading and retouching in-house, then crops for every placement named in the brief: menu, website, delivery apps, screens and social.
  5. Delivery in about a weekFiles organized by dish and placement, delivered about a week after the shoot. Monthly programs run on a set day each month, so the library keeps growing.

Why restaurants shoot with The Neon Mob

A stylist who cooks
Our food stylist is a chef and a photographer. Dishes are built for the camera without losing what the kitchen intended.
One crew for photo, video and social
Videographers shoot alongside the stills and the social team plans around the library, so one production day feeds every channel.
We know how a restaurant runs
Wynn Las Vegas, Four Seasons and The Bedford by Martha Stewart have all shot with us. We work around service, not through it.
Monthly programs, not one-offs
Most of our restaurant clients are on a monthly schedule. The library grows, the look stays consistent and the feed never goes quiet.
Las Vegas based, travel ready
The studio is in Las Vegas and most of our food work is on the Strip, but Big Chicken's national library shows we travel when the brand does.
“The Neon Mob was working on a single venue, and it wasn't long before other operators across the property wanted in. That kind of organic growth says a lot about the work they do. Beautiful photography and video production has expanded into strategy. They've become a real creative partner, not just a production vendor.”

Food Photography FAQ

How much does food photography cost in Las Vegas?

It depends on the number of dishes, whether we style or your kitchen plates as served, and whether video is on the day. Tell us the menu and where the images will run and we quote a flat number for the shoot. Monthly programs are priced per month.

Do you bring a food stylist?

Yes. Our food stylist is on the team and is also a chef, and plans each plate with your kitchen before the shoot.

How many dishes can you photograph in a day?

It depends on styling: a hero dish takes longer than a catalog frame in a consistent setup. We plan the count from your menu during the walk-through, so you know the day's output before we book it.

Can you shoot during service?

We prefer before service or in a closed section, so the kitchen isn't split between guests and the camera. When that's the only option, we shoot around service and keep the footprint small.

Do you shoot video as well as photos for restaurants?

Yes. Short video, stop-motion and vertical cutdowns for social come out of the same day as the stills. Video production →

Can you manage our social media too?

Yes. Several restaurant clients run a monthly program with us that covers the shoot, the library and the planning and posting. Social media management →

Who owns the photos?

Usage is agreed in the quote based on where and how long the images will run, and you use them across those channels. Tell us the placements up front and the proposal spells out the terms.

Do you photograph restaurants outside Las Vegas?

Yes. The studio is in Las Vegas, and we travel for multi-location brands and launches. Big Chicken's library was shot for locations nationwide.

Opening, new menu, or a feed that needs a reset?

Tell us about the restaurant and the dates. We'll come back with a scope for the shoot, or a monthly program, within a few business days.
